Changing the design of the form will NOT change the existing values in documents that have already been created and saved using that form. You would have to open each document with that form, select the new value, then resave and close the document.
So, what you need to do is change the keyword in the form, for the benefit of any documents that will be created from this point on. You also need some script to change the value of the field.
If you're accustomed to writing LotusScript, this should be fairly simple (especially if all the documents happen to be in one view, with no other documents). If not, you're going to need to find someone willing to spend the time to write it.
